PURE IN PRAGUE
Pure Storage is building its first R&D site outside of North America in Prague, Czech Republic.
The goal is to build a world-class engineering capability to support our rapidly expanding customer base, and to expand Pure’s capacity to leverage local and regional talent pools.
SHOULD YOU ACCEPT THIS CHALLENGE YOU WILL..
- Create prototypes, mockups, wireframes
- Design and continually improve new product features
- Measure areas where users experience trouble and make improvements
- Present own work created in Adobe XD and Figma to team members
- Stay open-minded, willing to learn and ready to improvise
- Use digital design and prototyping tools such as Adobe XD and Figma
WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING TO THIS ROLE...
Core skills and experience
- Passion for pixel-perfect interface design with at least three years of experience in the field
- Understand front-end development process and limitations (basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/JS is a plus)
- Create mind maps, user flows (MindMeister)
- Understand, apply and promote our design thinking and design system
- Generate solutions to business needs, and communicate the pros and cons for each
- Benchmark ideas against industry best practices in a given context
- Choose appropriate tools to create and present design solutions (Adobe XD, Figma are the must)
- Understand cloud-native app development (devops, agile methodology, microservices, cloud platforms, containers like Kubernetes and Docker, CI/CD)
Soft skills
- Plan own tasks considering collaboration with the team
- Search for additional info and feedback within the product team
- Support written and verbal communication in order to plan further work, explain and document ideas
- Flexibility, open-mindedness, ability and desire to learn
- Advanced spoken and written English
