UI / UX Product Designer (Mobile and Web)

Husssl is an early start-up digital agency and software developer, which is experiencing rapid growth.  We are obsessed about helping launch new ventures, or to level up existing businesses, by building best-of-breed apps, websites, and software. 

Due to our continued growth and significant investment, we're now expanding our Product Design team again. We are a close-knit team who work at pace, and we are looking for a new Husssler to bring energy, experience, first class design and problem-solving skills to help us take Husssl to the next level. 

What You'll Do 

• Create meticulous and intuitive UX / UI design assets across mobile and web platforms
• Produce high quality deliverables such as detailed user flows, high and low fidelity prototypes, digital design guidelines / mood boards, wireframes, UI screen mock ups
• Work in the intersection between the user, the client, the product, and the aesthetic
• Add value to the design process by contributing up to date knowledge of emerging UX / UI trends, while respecting the client’s wants and needs
• Be comfortable and adept at working directly with clients (through video conferencing), and actively collaborating in whiteboard and design sessions with internal and client stakeholders
• Design and optimise a robust process for capturing client ideas, their feedback, and managing the feedback loop between client and design, so that our clients’ dreams translate into impeccable Husssl designs

• Manage the transition from design to development and ensure seamless continuity and transference of design concepts, also managing final product against original brief
• Work closely with Sales, Client Directors, and product and engineering teams to evaluate user requirements, and propose creative solutions
• Adhere to and contribute to our evolving design system and design principles, and proactively working to improve and optimise internal and client-facing processes
• Be excited about Husssl becoming the market leader in app development and business incubation, and ensuring you strive to take an active part in that trajectory

About You
 

• At least1-2 years delivering live mobile / web design projects to live clients
• Experienced using industry tools (Figma, Adobe Suite (PS, XD, & Illustrator), Miro, Smartlook, Lookback, Optimal Workshop, Zeroheight, Notion etc)
• Balance solid creative skills and an eye for aesthetics, with coming up with new and exciting ways to produce functional designs
• Are comfortable managing client expectations, and exceeding them, and equally able to avoid scope creep
• Have tech and design focused curiosity, and take pride in being an industry expert
• Take personal pride in the final product, and ensure your / the clients’ design concepts are brough to life
• Strong attention to detail, and ability to quality assure your own work
• Process driven, and methodical in the way you approach problem solving
• A strong multi-tasker, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
• Familiarity with established design principles and interaction patterns
• Excellent communication skills and are comfortable and confident presenting both internally and to customers
• High capacity for self-direction, ability to work well alone
• Pro-active problem solving, time management, and organisation
• Fluent English language, written & spoken, with strong client-facing presentation skills

The logistics
 
·        This role will be remote reporting in to the MD working hours (UK business hours: 9am-6pm Monday to Friday)
 
·        Husssl uses a suite of cloud-based communication, collaboration, and design tools, and you will use on your own hardware
 
·        Initially a freelance role, there is scope for rapid progression for the right person
