UX Researcher

This role is part of a growing product team. You will work closely with the Head of UX & the Product team, helping them gather insights that inform product strategy and sharing research methods and tools which would enable them to ask and answer questions on their own. You will be bringing the team(s) along on the journey of your findings and actively contribute to the centralization of customer insights in an actionable insights repository. He or she loves to work with unbiased actionable insights and dedicated research methods to find out what our customers want.

Responsibilities:

  • Seek out customer, data, and design-driven insight and use that insight to identify foundational questions for the business and its products.
  • You can collaborate closely with Data Science team and are comfortable with metrics.
  • Use data to inform your decisions and validate your findings.
  • Add valuable, unbiased insights into our design processes and support the products design decisions.
  • Implement research methods to uncover problems and opportunities.
  • Deliver UX and heuristic/usability analysis using appropriate methodologies and techniques.
  • Conduct end-to-end user testing. Plan, recruit and report using qual and quant (where possible) to provide high value insights into the customers needs and pain points.
  • Design the user research best suited to answer those questions whether it be surveys, in depth interviews, diary studies, contextual inquiry, prototype walkthroughs, card sorting or something entirely unique.
  • Research skills with in-depth knowledge of heuristic and usability analysis, user testing, workshops and customer interview/inquiry techniques for digital products.

 

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with a variety of qualitative and quantitative research techniques, along with the knowledge of when and why to apply them.
  • Bachelor or Master's in a HCI, Psychology, Social Science, or related field (or equivalent and demonstrable work experience)
  • Broad experience with both generative and evaluative methods.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience facilitating workshops or co-creation exercises.
  • Able to show how your work has had a substantial impact.
  • Experience with end-to-end research projects; from defining goals and objectives, developing scripts or interview guides, conducting fieldwork, analysing results, and sharing insights with the Product team.
  • Experience establishing and analyzing UX metrics.
  • Experience navigating ambiguity and know how to balance autonomy, collaboration, and creativity.
  • Experience in the Healthcare industry is a plus.
