The Role
We’re looking for an experienced product designer to design foundational patterns, UI components, tools, and processes that enable designers and engineers at Veeva to create consistent, high-quality customer experiences.
In this role, you will be an integral part of driving the vision, strategy, roadmap, and integration of our CRM design systems. Responsibilities also include designing, documenting, evangelizing, and teaching best practices.
The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of design systems and a passion for maintaining them. Your understanding of the needs of both customers and internal stakeholders helps drive design system direction.

What You’ll Do
- Define and manage reusable design patterns and components for multiple design systems in Figma
- Write usage guidelines for all components and patterns, ensure consistent usage of them, and own the ongoing design system maintenance process
- Develop and maintain clear documentation of design philosophy and principles as it relates to patterns and components
- Work closely and constructively with our product designers and engineers to create and deliver robust components
- Create high-level and/or detailed mockups, and interactive prototypes to effectively communicate design solutions
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience working on design systems for mobile and web products
- 2+ years in a senior design role
- A strong portfolio of product design and design systems work, including designs that showcase both an ability to think in scalable systems, and a solid understanding of key product design principles (hierarchy/layout, color, and typography)
- Experience in unifying and maintaining a UI and UX design across multiple teams with differing goals and priorities—including developing, maintaining, documenting, and gaining adoption of pattern libraries
- Proven track record for defining design systems, component libraries, and systems for reuse across multiple products.
- A passion for designing systems and staying up to date on the latest standards, technologies, and strategies
- Expertise using Figma, Sketch, and other design-related software required
- The ability to work independently to troubleshoot technical and process-related issues
- You’re a go-getter, self-sufficient, and seek out answers to your questions
- Amazing time management skills, with prior experience in a time-sensitive development environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Nice to Have
- Understanding of iOS Human Interface Guidelines
- Understanding of Android Material Design Guidelines
- Previous experience within a SaaS and/or Enterprise organization
Base pay: $110,000.00 - $180,000.00
The salary range listed represents the potential base salary range for this position. The actual salary will vary for each candidate based on experience, market, and expected contributions.
