Senior UX Researcher

  • Lead UX research for the BugSnag Product.
  • Work closely with Product, Engineering and UX teams to build solutions to new SmartBear customer problems.
  • Tech Stack: Typeform, Dovetail, Pendo, Calendly and Miro.

About the role:

SmartBear seeks a Senior UX Researcher who will be responsible for leading UX research for the BugSnag product. This individual will work closely with Product Management, Engineering, Product Design and Marketing teams to discover, validate, and ultimately build solutions to new SmartBear customer problems.

  • Design and run a variety of research studies, including user testing, field studies, usability tests, concept tests, group discussions, and more
  • Plan and execute end-to-end research activities to identify Jobs-to-be-Done and analyse customer needs
  • Collaborate to define the intent, development, testing, and refinement of prototypes
  • Help foster a culture of experimentation through leading experiments and workshops
  • Synthesise quantitative and qualitative data to drive smarter product and design decisions
  • Follow an iterative design process alongside a lean-agile engineering process

We are looking for you if you have:

  • The ability to communicate ideas clearly, both written and visually
  • Broad experience of user research techniques and tools
  • Ability to understand and articulate technical aspects of the software development process
  • Presentation skills
  • Ability to analyze data, with knowledge of appropriate data processing tools
  • An interest in building user research capabilities cross-functionally
  • As a bonus: a background in human-computer interaction, psychology, sociology, communication, or related fields
