At Outverse, we are building community software for the next generation of iconic software companies and products. We empower companies to build a streamlined, connected community experience for their users. Founded in 2021, we are funded by top-tier US and European VC firms, including early-stage investors in the likes of Wise, Snowflake, Revolut, Gong and Sorare.

Your mission

You'll be a foundational member of our design team and will have a unique opportunity to shape the product from the ground up, working closely with other designers, engineers and the founders. We like to ship fast, get features in front of customers quickly, incorporate feedback and continuously iterate. We value speed and simplicity. We’re highly collaborative and you’ll have a big impact on the design culture, tooling & processes.

What will you be doing?

• Taking on complex UX/UI challenges and designing elegant & high quality solutions

• Working collaboratively throughout the end-to-end product process, from discovery through to delivery and iteration

• Leveraging prototypes to articulate your designs, especially where solutions are particularly nuanced

• Designing and shipping high quality product improvements ready for engineering hand-off

• Helping shape our foundational design culture & processes from the ground up

• Explore and visualise new product opportunities for Outverse

What we're looking for

• You are a creative product designer with 8+ years of experience designing and shipping

• You have a strong intuition for understanding user needs, designing solutions and articulating your rationale

• You’re comfortable balancing pixel perfect quality with pragmatically & iteratively shipping

• You love taking ownership of problems & solutions in a fast-paced team

• You have strong (and flexible) opinions on software design trends, processes and tooling

• You love collaborating, especially with product and engineering peers

Our hiring process

• Initial chat to discuss the role, learn about each other and explore whether it's a good fit

• Portfolio discussion – we’d love to talk through a previous project of yours

• Design workshop – a 1hr design exercise with our team

• Final interview – a chance to have a general discussion, meet the rest of the team and make sure we're the perfect fit for each other. You'll have learnt more about us by this stage and this a chance to have any remaining questions answered!
