Overview:
Arkadium is seeking a motivated and experienced UX/UI Designer to play an integral role within our Product department. This is a unique, career-growth opportunity for a qualified design professional to support the execution and design of our products. You’ll join a team of passionate designers, developers, and product managers who are dedicated to creating the best experience possible for our players. Our priorities are enhancing the user experience and interface across our games and platforms, focusing on improving UX design metrics and driving revenue growth. Our ideal candidate has a strong background in engaging designs, design systems, and user research, with a stellar portfolio to back it up.
This role is open to candidates based in Portugal. Business hours are 9-18 WEST (UTC+1).
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product owners, product managers, game designers and developers, to understand project requirements and objectives.
- Conduct comprehensive qualitative and quantitative research to gain deep insights into user behaviors, preferences, and pain points.
- Apply user-centered design principles to identify and solve UX challenges, ensuring seamless and intuitive user interactions.
- Create user flows, wireframes and prototypes in Figma to effectively communicate design concepts and solutions.
- Conduct ongoing UX/UI reviews across our platforms, analyzing user feedback, KPIs, and metrics to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct usability testing sessions and gather user feedback to inform iterative design improvements.
- Design and iterate on visually appealing and consistent user interfaces that align with the brand and target audience of our games.
- Collaborate with the development team to ensure the accurate implementation of designs, providing support during the development and QA process.
- Develop high-fidelity UI design outcomes and interactive prototypes using Figma, providing comprehensive hand-off notes and details for development and QA.
- Use analytics and research insights from the team, to track and analyze user interactions, engagement, and conversion rates to inform design iterations.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in UX/UI design and gaming.
Requirements
- All applicants must share a link to their portfolios
- 5 years of experience as a UX/UI designer, preferably in the gaming industry or a related field.
- Proven experience in conducting quality and quantitative research, including user interviews, surveys, and usability testing.
- Strong expertise in UX design principles and methodologies, with the ability to identify and address user pain points effectively.
- Proficiency in both UI and UX design, demonstrating versatility and the ability to switch between design roles seamlessly.
- Advanced proficiency in Figma or similar design tools, with a strong ability to create high-quality UI designs and interactive prototypes.
- A track record of leveraging UX design metrics and KPIs to drive improvements and enhance revenue generation.
- Detail-oriented mindset, ensuring the delivery of high-quality designs that meet the company's standards.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate design concepts, gather feedback, and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
