The Role

We’re hiring a Senior Product Designer to help define new features across our digital and physical services. Product Designers play a vital role here, they help craft and shape our customer experience with engineering and product teams. Do you get excited about building and shipping both usable and beautiful products? Do you enjoy creating delightful experiences that are truly customer focused and create ambitious outcomes for the business? Do you create design solutions that can be easily turned into reality? What will I be doing?

You will,

• Apply your expert design thinking and execution skills, contributing to each stage of the product life cycle.
• Lead the solution design process, creating design concepts (wireframes, prototypes), iterating quickly and validating continually with customers.
• Collaborate cross functionally with Product and Engineering, representing the design.
• Build upon existing products and features, working closely with customers, supporting key user needs and goals.
• Communicate the design intent clearly, build a vision and help the teams iterate to the desired outcome.
• Work in close collaboration with Design Leadership to inform and improve our design processes.

Requirements

About you

• A portfolio that reflects your strengths in both UX and visual design skills (end-to-end product design).
• Mastery over your design process and methodology, with the desire and ability to help shape ours.
• 5yrs+ experience designing digital products and services, including user experience, interaction and user interface design), delivering solutions that have elevated customer and user experience.
• A great understanding of how design impacts development, along with a knack for constructing dynamic, interactive prototypes and designs that are technically feasible.
• Experienced in user research and usability testing best practice, specifically in regards to user-centred design.
• Experience in hypothesis-driven design, user testing, and defining quick and inexpensive ways of learning and iterating.
• An expert with Figma, it's our core Design tool at Converge
• Expert at utilising Design Systems

Nice to haves

• A good understanding of the challenges of working on products that have both digital and physical elements.
• An understanding of the construction industry and construction technology.
