Zodaka is a rapidly growing payment platform operating in high risk industries. We’re a startup and we’re looking for a UI/UX Designer to turn our software into easy-to-use and beautiful products for our clients.

You will be among the first design hires. As such, we will lean on your expertise and guidance as we brand our products with cohesive design. We will need you to jump right in, get to know the team, get a feel for our products, and deliver world class work. This position will have plenty of room for upward growth, including leadership and management opportunities.

UI/UX Designer responsibilities include gathering user requirements, designing graphic elements and building navigation components. To be successful in this role, you should have experience with design software and wireframe tools.

To help us evaluate your talent, we would like to see your portfolio of professional design projects that includes work with web/mobile applications. A good sense of branding is essential.

Excellent communication and organization skills, ability to manage ambiguity and take initiative, and previous experience working in a startup environment will help your candidacy. Ultimately, you’ll create both functional and appealing features that address our clients’ needs and help us grow our customer base.

Responsibilities--

Gather and evaluate user requirements in collaboration with product managers and engineers
Illustrate design ideas using storyboards, process flows and sitemaps
Design graphic user interface elements, like menus, tabs and widgets
Build page navigation buttons and search fields
Develop UI mockups and prototypes that clearly illustrate how sites function and look like
Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, sketches and tables)
Prepare and present rough drafts to internal teams and key stakeholders
Identify and troubleshoot UX problems (e.g. responsiveness)
Conduct layout adjustments based on user feedback
Adhere to style standards on fonts, colors and images
Creating and maintaining branding guidelines
Ability to create organizational structure and anticipate future hiring needs

Requirements--

Portfolio of design projects
Proven work experience as a UI/UX Designer or similar role
Knowledge of wireframe tools (e.g. Balsamiq, Sketch, Figma, etc)
Up-to-date knowledge of design software like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
Team spirit; strong communication skills to collaborate with various stakeholders
Good time-management and organization skills
Degree in Design, Fine Arts or a related field is a plus
