Advanced UX Designer, Logitech Software 

Primary Location: Chennai

The Role

Logitech is looking for an advanced UX Designer to join our consumer facing software design team. The role is based in Chennai and focuses on UX and interaction design for our consumer facing software platforms - Ghub and Options Plus. 

Our software enables the configuration of our hardware devices, it also defines relationships between devices to form systems, in which the relationships and behaviours can be complex. The role of UX Designers in this context is not only to define the functionality of our software and its relationship with our hardware but to manage the complexity in ways that allow all people to pursue their passions with clarity and simplicity. 

You will work as part of a strong team, with an ability to work  independently, while partnering with key stakeholders. You will  have the opportunity to grow a valuable career at Logitech with the support of a global network of incredible, talented, and award-winning design colleagues.  

 

To be successful in this role, applicants must have advanced knowledge of interaction design, strong visual design skills and a keen eye for detail. An understanding of practical methodology for research and  insight development, and an ability to advocate for these in a fast-paced environment where strong opinions may be held will be an advantage. You must be able to articulate and advocate for your design choices, and have the skills necessary to bring others along, and grow your influence. A portfolio to evidence this experience will be required.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft user-oriented solutions for our consumer facing software platforms

• Produce user journeys, flows, and experience blueprints 

• Deliver production-ready software experiences and features for our hardware devices

• Understand and apply commonly used design concepts and best practices to resolve a variety of issues

• Contribute to the ongoing development of our software design systems

• Articulate and advocate for your design solutions

• Advocate for appropriate levels and types of user research 

• Maintain a consistent focus on user needs and outcomes 

 

Requirements:

• Advanced user interaction design skills

• Strong visual design skills, with an ability to execute designs  to production standards

• Ability to make design work in the context of agile development processes

• Experience of working in agile - and everything that implies - is an advantage

• A strong portfolio of work to evidence your experience

 

Who you are

You are an advanced UX Designer with growing expertise in interaction design, and visual design.  You have an advanced understanding of design and UX principles and  best practices You understand and apply commonly used design concepts, discipline best practices, and can resolve a variety of issues. You are proficient with the latest tools and technologies expected of a UX designer.
