The Senior UX/UI Designer should be highly skilled designer with a strong track record in IoT solutions development. In this role, you will be responsible for designing our marketplace and delivering an end-to-end user experience of the IoT solutions with development for all UX components of the solutions. Also the candidate will be responsible for designing the user Interfaces for the solutions and UI technology selection for applications. The tasks will include design and developing experience of applications, and platforms including device management platforms, IoT device agents, and more. He/she will also support the agile framework for the management of software product(s) development for various IoT solutions.

The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience in designing and prototyping IoT projects, ensuring a unique and engaging experience for the users of our IoT solutions, applications, platform(s). He/she should focus on what drives the success of the product development while innovating solutions and alternatives that address key problems. He/she should be able to understand the company strategy all the way to develop actionable features that are desired by customers, viable to the market and feasible to build in line with the company vision.

This position will work closely with digital and product teams. The successful candidate will work in our UAE office.

What you’ll be doing

    • The functions of this role include providing strategic direction and implementation in the following areas:
    • Establish and maintain design standards and guidelines to ensure consistency and cohesion across our IoT solutions.
    • Lead the UX and UI Designs and the creation and refinement of user experiences and user interfaces for our marketplace, IoT solutions, ensuring a seamless and intuitive interaction between users and solutions.
    • Oversee the entire end-to-end experience and user journey, from initial interaction to task completion, across our IoT solutions, applications, and platforms.
    • Prototyping: Develop prototypes and clickable mockups that visualize the user experience and facilitate user testing and validation.
    • Ensuring the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and translate UI/UX wireframes and mockups into responsive applications and web pages.
    • Optimization of customer journeys, solutions’ protypes and proper documentations. 
    • Develop user-centric designs of IoT solutions and applications by advocating for the needs and preferences of our users, keeping their goals and requirements at the forefront of the design process.
    • Leverage your extensive experience in IoT solutions’ design to create interfaces that are tailored to the unique challenges and opportunities of the IoT ecosystem.
    • Collaborate on cross-functional basis with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure a seamless translation of design concepts into functional products.
    • Understand product features to design IoT solutions, applications and platforms.
    • Other duties and responsibilities assigned by the management.

What you bring to this role

    • BSc degree in computer science, IT, software engineering or relevant fields. MSc and/or PhD in related fields are preferred.
    • More than 10 years of professional experience in developing a unique and engaging experience for the users of our IoT solutions, applications, platform(s), designing user interfaces and prototyping IoT projects.
    • Proficiency in designing interfaces and building clickable prototypes using Figma, Sketch, InVision, Axure, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar software.
    • Demonstrated ability to create prototypes, wireframes, and clickable mockups.
    • Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and user testing methodologies.
    • Proven experience in designing IoT platforms and applications.
    • Ability to convey complex IoT concepts in a clear and understandable manner.
    • Exceptional communication and collaboration skills.
    • Portfolio showcasing successful IoT design projects.

Extra points for the following

    • Frontend application development experience including design, build, and maintain highly reusable JavaScript, HTML and CSS code.
    • Various design and user experience development tools.
    • Cloud computing such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
    • Understanding or direct experience on delivering IoT solutions via LEO satellite will be viewed very positively.
