About the role

As a Senior UX/UI designer, you will be responsible for shaping the face of Clutch, and one of the first things people will see when learning about our brand. Using your keen eye for visual design, as well as your knowledge of UX best practices, you will work through competitive analysis, concepting, and design critiques to create thoughtful, pixel perfect designs. Working with a small but mighty design team, you will collaborate cross functionally with the other designers, product managers, developers and marketing managers to create on-brand experiences for our users.

What you’ll do:

  • Collaborate with our developers to oversee the implementation of designs.
  • Support product owners on key aspects of projects, which may include research, designing UI library elements, and designing specific modules/components.
  • Map complete user scenarios and take your vision from wireframe to reality.
  • Work with and help create and maintain a Design System in Figma.

Qualities:

  • You are proactive, flexible, and able to work both individually and with others
  • You take directions and feedback well (and not personally) in a way that allows for great teamwork and personal development.
  • You have an understanding of UX research practices and strive to elevate your designs by including quantitative and qualitative data into your thought process
  • You are passionate about design and stay up to date with the latest strategies, best practices and technology.
  • Ability to effectively manage time, prioritize tasks and work within deadlines.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment that is constantly changing.

What we’re looking for:

  • BA/BS degree in graphic design, media arts, illustration, animation, or related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 4+ years of professional digital design experience, with an emphasis on web design
  • Experience with design tools like Figma and Figjam creating mockups, polished visual designs, prototypes, design system/UI library, iconography, etc.
  • Mastery of basic design principles such as typography, composition, scale, colour theory, visual weight, etc.
  • Working knowledge of responsive design and grid principles.
  • Effective communication, persuasion, and presentation skills
  • The desire to win without ego.

It’d be great if you have:

  • A portfolio that demonstrates skills in UI, visual and UX design
  • Web, mobile web and native app experience.
  • Knowledge of accessibility standards

Why you’ll love it at Clutch:

  • Autonomy & Ownership -- create your own path, and own your work
  • Competitive Compensation and Equity Incentives!
  • Health & Dental Benefits
