At RudderStack, we are redefining enterprise-scale data collection and routing. We are building a customer data platform (CDP) on the customer's own data warehouse. Our open-source, developer-first approach is the first of its kind. We understand the outsized impact customer data has on businesses, and we understand the challenges and pain points. The Role:

As a Senior UX Engineer at RudderStack, your primary role is to seamlessly integrate design and engineering. Responsible for developing and maintaining the design system between Figma and code, you will expertly merge coding skills with creative design. Your work is crucial in transforming prototypes into exceptional, functional products. Reporting to the Head of Design, you serve as the essential connector between the design and engineering teams, ensuring a harmonious blend of aesthetics and functionality.

What You Will Do:

  • Immerse yourself in RudderStack’s design ecosystem, curating and enhancing our Figma and Storybook libraries.
  • Merge your keen design intuition with your technical expertise to elevate our UI components, marrying beauty with functionality.
  • Play a key role in strategic decision-making alongside design, PM, and engineering teams.
  • Design and craft user experience prototypes, directly contributing to our feature set.
  • Partner with user research to test and iterate on prototypes, ensuring user-centric development.
  • Elevate the product's quality and craftsmanship by exchanging constructive feedback with team members.
  • Innovate and refine our design and development processes for peak efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Enrich our product experience with enthralling JS animations that captivate and engage, weaving compelling narratives.
  • Foster a seamless collaboration between design and development teams, ensuring cohesiveness in functionality and aesthetics.
  • Be a champion for product design within the RudderStack ecosystem.

Who You Are:

  • 3+ years of experience in delivering exceptional software products.
  • A strategic thinker with a vision for product strategy and an eye for the big picture.
  • Possessing robust design skills and a proven track record of leadership in cross-functional environments.
  • Your portfolio (available on GitHub or a personal website) reflects your eye for design and decision making as well as your capabilities in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
  • Proficient with design tools like Figma, adept at turning designs into functional code.
  • A collaborative spirit who excels in teamwork yet is capable of spearheading projects independently.
  • Driven by curiosity and a relentless pursuit of creating user-centric, aesthetically pleasing products.
  • Exceptional communication skills, equally adept at articulating ideas and writing code.
  • Comfortable in navigating through ambiguity, with a knack for prioritizing effectively in a dynamic setting.
