Challenge

The UI/UX Designer will join their team and enhance the user experience across their growing suite of digital products and digital learning experiences, aimed at teachers and young learners. You will work with Heggerty’s product and engineering teams to translate complex requirements into intuitive and simple user interfaces. The role requires a blend of creativity, technical proficiency, and a genuine passion for making teachers' lives easier.

What you’ll do

Work with their product + content teams to understand the needs of teachers and students, and analyze user feedback to identify pain points and opportunities for improvement

Collaboratively build and maintain wireframes, user flows, interactive prototypes, and high fidelity visual designs to document and visualize the growing list of features within the Heggerty platform

Work with engineering teams to refine, iteratively develop, and test a high quality, accessible user experience incorporating user feedback

Ensure a consistent, responsive, and accessible user experience across a range of devices to ensure their products are usable by all learners.

In order to succeed in this position, you will need

Mandatory skills

Advanced English skills – Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience designing interactive experiences for the web on cross-functional teams with product managers & engineering.
• Knowledge of human centered design, and UI/UX best practices
• Familiar with WCAG compliance and other design accessibility standards
• Experience working on and developing design systems, style guides, and component libraries using tools like Figma, Miro or others

Nice-to-have

• Online portfolio available that showcases design thinking and experience
• Experience in designing for teachers and young learners
• Experience with HTML/CSS/JS for prototyping
