Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Conducts user research to understand user needs, mental models and working context
  • Works with Senior Designers and product owners to understand market needs & vision; work with teams to quickly translate that vision into workflows, interactions, and designs for software
  • Lead UX requirement definition sessions and design thinking workshops
  • Lead UFEMA activities
  • Responsible for Usability related activities and documentation for software development programs
  • Conducts Formative and Summative studies
  • Work with software engineers in an Agile environment utilizing the latest UX methods, such as Google Design sprints, collaborative design, service design, informal and formal testing, and rapid prototyping

Qualifications: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or abilities required.

  • Bachelor’s Degree within appropriate Engineering/Science discipline
  • Experience with Medical Devices
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience with UX Design
