This job post is over 2 months oldand may no longer be available.
It’s an exciting time to join Tactile! We're a diverse team of storytellers, puzzle enthusiasts and casual mobile game creators. Our story began in 2008 in the heart of beautiful Copenhagen, and since then we have experienced continuous growth, establishing ourselves as one of the largest gaming companies in Denmark. In more recent years, we have been scaling fast, in big part thanks to the success of a little game called Lily’s Garden. Now we’re on a mission to solidify our position as one of the leaders in creating out-of-the-ordinary casual puzzle games.

With more than 300 talented individuals, we are a mix of over 55 nationalities and 42% women. We truly appreciate the richness of different experiences and perspectives that Tactilers bring to all of our games. This is why we foster a lean organizational culture, in which each individual is encouraged to take responsibility, be open and grow in their own way. We pride ourselves in cultivating a studio environment that stays away from crunch, that fosters your skills no matter what your discipline is, and one that gives you a place to be creative alongside other passionate and invested individuals.

This role is based in our beautiful Copenhagen office, as we truly believe that when talented people work closely together, magic happens! For this role, we therefore offer full relocation support to those coming from outside of Denmark.

Your role & impact:
We are currently growing our Games Team, Makeover Match, and are on the lookout for an additional UI Designer to join a team of talented people. Currently, we have one UI designer within the Makeover Match team, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to create assets for our newest live game. And that’s where you come in! Aligned on a joint UI design vision, your role will be pivotal in making our players happy by creating the assets that they interact with most.

Okay, let’s get a little bit more specific. Here’s what you’ll be doing on the day-to-day as a UI Designer:

    • You’ll create compelling UI assets and animations and implement them in Unity,
    • You’ll work with artists, programmers, designers, producers, and others to integrate art assets into the game while ensuring technical constraints are met,
    • You’ll collaborate with the team to define and implement engaging UI solutions that serve gameplay intentions and enhance our players' experience,
    • You’ll create wireframes and prototypes for core and meta gameplay UI components,
    • You’ll ensure UI consistency and maintain a cohesive visual identity.

What we’re looking for:

    • You’re a seasoned professional, and your portfolio represents that (please make sure to add your public portfolio link or private folder with work samples),
    • You have experience working in a Game Engine (Unity, Unreal, you name it), creating and implementing UI assets,
    • You have a deep understanding of mobile UI/UX design principles and processes,
    • You’re able to adapt to and build on an already defined art style (stylized in our case),
    • You’re able to animate UI assets with an animation software of your choice (we use Spine 2D here),
    • You’re able to create mockups and wireframes,
    • You believe that candid feedback and close team collaboration are essential for producing great work,
    • You’re not bound by convention and enjoy coming up with innovative ideas and visions,
    • You’re able to keep a flexible mind in times of change,
    • You're eager to never stop learning and keeping yourself up-to-date with the latest industry trends and innovations.

You'll make us extra excited if:

    • You’ve created 3D assets before,
    • You’ve worked with Spine 2D before,
    • You have a conceptual understanding of version control,
    • You internalized the design principles of Gestalt.

    • We want to also stress that even if you don’t fulfill any of these nice-to-haves, please don’t feel discouraged to apply. We know that talent takes many forms 💜
