(This is a hybrid role and candidates must be based in the Ottawa region or willing to relocate.)  

What You Will Do  

We are currently seeking a talented UI/UX Designer to join our growing team based in Ottawa. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in user interface and experience, and forward design thinking. You will contribute to the development of cutting-edge security cloud solutions that help protect people and businesses worldwide.  

• Conduct user research to understand user behaviors, needs, and pain points.
• Lead the design process from ideation to final design including user flows, interactions, and prototypes.
• Design aesthetically pleasing and user-friendly interfaces, including mockups, journey maps, prototypes, visual interfaces, and visual assets.
• Create and refine information architectures, personas, user flows, to define the structure and layout of designs.
• Develop interactive elements and animations to enhance user engagement.
• Provide design assets, user guidelines and mockups as needed for developers.
• Lead cross-functional design reviews for feedback and sign-off on designs.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders.
• Conduct usability testing to gather feedback and iterate designs.
• Maintain and contribute to the development of a design system to ensure consistency across products.
• Ensure that designs are accessible to users with disabilities, following accessibility guidelines.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices in UI/UX design.

What You Bring To Forescout  

• 5+ years of UI design work experience with a bachelor's degree in design, fine arts, computer science, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience using Figma, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• A portfolio of work that demonstrates a strong understanding of user-centered design principles and methodologies.
• Excellent design skills with a portfolio showcasing your talent for UI.
• Significant experience using Figma, or similar tools for mockups, user testing and prototyping.
• Significant experience on complex, enterprise-scale design projects.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and make impact in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills and the ability to articulate the rationale behind your design decisions.
• Deep understanding of design principles and a keen eye for aesthetics.
• Excellent problem solving abilities.
• SaaS experience preferred.
