About Aerostrat
Aerostrat is a fast growing B2B SaaS company building a complete maintenance planning solution for the aviation industry. Our core product, Aerros, enables our customers to plan all the maintenance on hundreds of aircraft in a matter of minutes. Our solution helps customers understand the cost and efficiency of their maintenance operations while giving them the confidence to make data-backed business decisions. Over the past seven years Aerostrat has achieved a customer base that includes some of the world’s most well-known airlines and aircraft operators. Aerostrat’s success to date has been driven by a lean team focused on transforming complex asks into an easy to use product. As a remote-first company we understand that everyone works differently. At Aerostrat we value your contributions and output over your time spent on Slack or sitting in Zoom meetings.

About this role
Aerros is maintenance planning software for the aviation industry, focused on making it easy to build, analyze, and improve maintenance plans. At the core of our product is an in-house developed calendar engine and a variety of workflows for creating and editing the schedule’s data.

As a UI/UX Designer at Aerostrat, you will be responsible for taking these complex workflows and turning them into simple, easy to understand experiences. You will work closely with our Director of Product & Growth to turn identified concepts and product opportunities into well-defined mockups and prototypes that our engineering team can execute. You will have opportunities to work directly with internal and external stakeholders, including some of the largest airlines in the world, to gather feedback and refine your designs.

As our first dedicated designer you will have opportunities to shape our design language and put your mark on our existing product as well as new products we've identified. You will also have opportunities to shape our digital and physical marketing presence to help drive sales outcomes.

In the role, you will..

    • Learn everything there is to know about aviation maintenance planning through our on-boarding process (so don't worry if you do not have any experience in this industry!)
    • Work with us to map out and improve existing core workflows in our flagship product Aerros
    • Work with our business and engineering teams to build wireframes, mockups, and prototypes of upcoming features and products
    • Build a universal design language & UI component library to be used when developing new products and features
    • Work with our Director of Product & Growth to analyze and improve Aerostrat’s quantitative decision making
    • Interact directly with our customer base to identify opportunities and build deep knowledge of the users needs and intent.

This role is great for you if...

    • You have experience building high quality wireframes, mockups, and prototypes in Figma
    • You have experience designing assets with the adobe suite (or similar)
    • You have experience with unified design languages, and building ui component libraries
    • You have a deep understanding of usability principles
    • You have experience doing qualitative and quantitative UX research, including user segmentation, analytics analysis, and interviews/focus-groups
    • You have experience working on or consuming B2B SaaS platforms
    • You find satisfaction in simplifying complex workflows and tasks
    • You are comfortable being the key UI/UX designer in a lean organization
    • You have a positive attitude and communication style - we've learned that excellent written communication and attitude go a long way for a remote team
