WeatherXM.com founded in 2022 (WeatherXM AG, Zug) by a core team that has been working together since 2015 having previously founded exm.gr an IIoT environmental monitoring, and weather analytics company that has served major enterprise customers.

Current investors include Placeholder, Consensys, Protocol Labs, Metaplanet, Borderless Capital, SOSV HAX/DLAB,  notable visionary angel investors like Juan Benet (Filecoin), Ele Diakomichalis (Radicle). 

WeatherXM is a weather DePIN project that utilizes a dense network of community-deployed weather stations, to provide the most accurate weather services possible.

People join the network by setting up WeatherXM stations and earn WXM tokens for the data they collect. Companies who want to use the weather data to create services, will need to buy licenses with WXM tokens.

By using cost efficient hardware and delegating capex, installation and maintenance to station owners we are building a dense weather network capable of providing hyper-local, real-time weather measurements. This is not possible through the centralized planning, procurement and maintenance model national weather organizations have to follow.

The WeatherXM network already counts more than 5k weather stations deployed in 80+ countries generating real time weather data and more accurate hyperlocal forecasts that weather dependent businesses need.

About the Job:

We are looking for a passionate and energetic UI/UX Designer to work with us and build the world’s first decentralized weather network. As a member of the UX team, you will play a pivotal role in crafting intuitive and visually stunning user experiences. You will work closely with researchers and developers to improve existing web, mobile and on-device apps, create new ones from scratch, and improve WeatherXM’s user touchpoints along the line. Your creativity and innovative ideas will be instrumental in delivering user-centric products that stand out in the web3 landscape.

Responsibilities:

• Create visually appealing and user-friendly interfaces for WeatherXM's web3 weather platform web & mobile apps.
• End-to-end UX process, from discovery to evaluation.
• Gathering and evaluating requirements in collaboration with Research, Product, Development and team leads.
• Creating prototypes, maintaining and updating our design system as needed. We use Figma!
• Iterating and improving your designs based on research findings and feedback.
• Mapping, analyzing and improving user journeys.
• Understanding of accessibility standards and basic concepts. You know what WCAG is and have read at least one version of it.
• Understanding the relation of business and user needs so you can prioritize your focus accordingly.

Qualifications:

• 1-3 years of experience in UI/UX Design.
• You have worked on, and have shipped products for web and mobile. 
• You’ve been through the iterative nature of the UX process in real world conditions.
• Experience with Material 3 design library and Apple Design Resources.
• You can read and produce your own user flows.
• You understand what task analysis is.
• Know the difference between assumptions, data, and evidence.
• Fluent in the English language is a must. You’ll work with international stakeholders and users from around the globe.
• You recognize situations where insufficient evidence is available to make a decision and understand the necessary steps to acquire the needed information.

• Solid experience working with a scrum team
