Job Title: Data Visualization UI/UX Designer/Analyst

Job Description:

We are seeking a seasoned Data Visualization UI/UX Designer/Analyst with over a decade of experience in developing highly complex interactive dashboards, particularly using Power BI and other visualization tools. This position is contingent upon our firm being awarded the contract. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in creating user-friendly visualizations that effectively communicate quantitative, qualitative, and financial data to non-technical audiences across multiple platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

Dashboard Development: Design, develop, and maintain highly complex interactive Power BI dashboards and other data visualization tools tailored for non-technical audiences.
User Experience Design: Ensure that all visualizations follow best practices for UI/UX design, creating intuitive and engaging user interfaces.
Data Integration: Integrate data from various sources, including quantitative, qualitative, and financial data, to create comprehensive visualizations.
Cross-Platform Expertise: Develop visualizations for multiple platforms, including browser-based solutions and specific software packages.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with stakeholders to understand their requirements and translate them into effective visual solutions.
Innovation: Stay current with the latest trends and technologies in data visualization and UI/UX design to continuously improve our visualization capabilities.
Documentation: Document the design and development process, ensuring transparency and reproducibility.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Design, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in data visualization, with a strong focus on developing interactive dashboards using Power BI and other tools.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in Power BI, as well as other visualization tools such as Tableau, D3.js, or similar. Strong understanding of UI/UX principles and best practices.
Data Skills: Experience working with various data types, including quantitative, qualitative, and financial data.
Cross-Platform Development: Demonstrated experience in developing visualizations for multiple platforms, including browser-based and specific software packages.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical audiences.
Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail in both design and data accuracy.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other BI tools and visualization frameworks.
Familiarity with data analytics and statistical analysis.
Knowledge of coding languages such as Python, R, or JavaScript for advanced data manipulation and visualization.
Certification in data visualization, UI/UX design, or related fields is a plus.
