UI Designer



Role: UI Designer

Reporting to: UX Design Manager

Role Description

The role requires someone who will guide the interface design of customer facing applications and The UI designer will work within our overall UX design team to create a cohesive and visually appealing brand for Fenergo user interfaces which reflects our professional standards and customer focus.

The UI designer will work closely with product analysts, agile development teams, and other relevant stakeholders to advocate for high-fidelity UI design while meeting user needs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Create original graphic designs (e.g. images, logos, sketches and tables) which can be used within our customer facing material
  • Create wireframes, prototypes and UI designs to support feature development teams
  • Create and maintain UI styles, standards and patterns in conjunction with other members of the design team
  • Advocate for contemporary, elegant customer facing material across applications, documentation and communications
  • Drive visual quality and consistency across products and teams through a collaborative design process
  • Lead presentations and design reviews with team members and management stakeholders
  • Ensure that UX is fully embedded in the agile development process and is a first class consideration in all interface designs
  • Keep up-to-date with legal requirements, standards, guidelines and professional best practice relating to UI design, accessibility, usability testing and usability research
  • Monitor and analyse how users work with the product and feed research insights into feature designs


Preferred Experience & Skills

  • Experience in financial services industry, specifically in customer digital channels or a related area
  • Experience of designing interfaces for CRM or customer service applications

Required Experience & Skills

  • Professional experience as a UI or graphic designer
  • Portfolio of successful UI design projects
  • Proven history of progressing product designs from initial concept, through architecture, wireframes, and interactive prototypes to finished product
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge and experience using the Adobe Creative Suite, Axure, Sketch and other prototyping tools
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Willingness to travel throughout Europe, the USA and Asia-Pacific regions.
