Eventogy is a leading event management platform that caters to large corporate enterprise businesses, such as banks, law firms, and government bodies. We specialise in providing event management solutions for highly regulated industries, with a strong focus on security and compliance. As a design-first organisation, we are currently undertaking a complete rebuild of our platform to create an even more intuitive and engaging user experience.

We are seeking a talented Senior UX/UI Designer to join our team and play a key role in the platform redesign, utilising recent customer surveys to inform design decisions and create exceptional user journeys, storyboards, wireframes, and designs. In addition to these primary responsibilities, the successful candidate will also contribute to branding, graphic design, and supplemental tasks, such as redesigning the marketing website, creating marketing materials, and managing social media templates.

As head of product and founder, you'll be delighted to learn that in this company, design is king and everything else follows. There are zero compromises in our pursuit in making the best application in our sector - ZERO.

So I'm really looking for an artist. Creativity is not a job, it's your state of mind. It permeates every aspect of your life and you just happen to make money from it. I want to see this artistry evident in everything you do both at work and out of it.

The product has become really successful and is in need of an artist to take ownership over its direction, ensuring you have full control over its UX, fine tuning hurdles, smoothing rough patches and rewarding users with a simple and beautiful experience. Again, this is cross platform with the core solution in a browser, with complimentary apps that sit cross-device.

Responsibilities

  1. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and stakeholders, to define and implement innovative solutions for the product direction, visuals, and user experience.
  2. Lead the complete redesign of the Eventogy platform, focusing on translating customer survey insights into user journeys, storyboards, wireframes, and designs.
  3. Execute all visual design stages from concept to final hand-off to engineering.
  4. Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows, and site maps to effectively communicate interaction and design ideas.
  5. Develop and maintain design systems, UI patterns, and style guides.
  6. Conduct user research and evaluate user feedback to optimise and enhance the user experience.
  7. Present and defend designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive-level stakeholders.
  8. Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices, and standards.
  9. Contribute to branding, graphic design, and supplemental tasks, such as redesigning the marketing website, creating marketing materials, and managing social media templates.
  10. Collaborate with and provide guidance to other team members as needed, fostering a supportive and productive work environment.

Requirements

  1. A Bachelor's degree in Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field.
  2. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a UX/UI Designer, preferably in the event management or technology sector.
  3. A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in UX/UI design, including wireframes, prototypes, and user flows.
  4. Proficiency in design and prototyping tools, such as Sketch, Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar.
  5. Experience in creating and maintaining design systems, UI patterns, and style guides.
  6. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate design decisions and rationale to stakeholders.
  7. Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and practices.
  8. Familiarity with responsive and adaptive design, as well as an understanding of the technical limitations and constraints of web and mobile applications.
  9. Experience in branding, graphic design, and creating marketing materials.

Benefits

If you're still here, then this is awesome. Send me an amazing portfolio and as long as you're not wanted in 15 states then that's half the application done. I know good design when I see it and without a detailed, fastidious portfolio of work that shows me your achievements across a variety of platforms, then we won't talk. So please, I beg you, wow me.

All applicants MUST have working Visas or be UK residents and be currently present in the UK.

This is a hybrid role and we can negotiate the terms of your office presence, but for your information, we currently come in 2-3 times a week to the Farringdon office in London.

We have the finest coffee shop on our doorstep. A food market right in front of the office. Access to Gymbox membership, with conditions! Training is catered for as and when needed.
